Delivery mode

Guided Online Learning with Classroom 5 Days training – students gain skills and knowledge in applications in the diverse ways of using the sand through role plays and assessments.

You will have access through the course duration to all the Modules, Learning activities, Resources, Readings, Videos and Assessment Learner Guides.

Supervision – 15 hours group
Case Conceptualisations – Learn to apply the Clinical Assessment Mapping Document/Theoretical Framework/Case notes
Tutorials – weekly 1 hour online (min. 75% attendance)
Transpersonal Psychotherapy – any underlying issues you have not resolved may come up in training at this advanced level
60 hours client contact hours in a workplace setting. This can be in your current workplace or setting.

Please note *you cannot learn sandtray therapy online only, you need to experience the role of the therapist in a group setting with an experienced sandtray therapist/trainer. This process is transpersonal and will bring up unresolved issues held in your deep unconscious. Therefore as a trauma-informed training program you will have intensive face to face classroom training where you are supported through your own personal process. So please be aware that if you have unresolved emotional issues the sand will reveal.

Duration

30 weeks plus 60 client contact hours and 5 day intensive classsroom training

Entry requirements

Entrants into the qualification are required to have successfully completed a Bachelor’s degree in a cognizant, mental health, counselling, psychology, social work or education field.
