Course Description

Upon successful completion of the International Diploma of Sandtray Therapy, you will be able to apply all the learning from your modules into your own practice.

Learning Modules

Module 1 – Sandtray Therapy Skills 1
Module 2 – Sandtray Therapy Skills 2
Module 3 – Apply Theory to Practice
Module 4 – Analysis of Sand Worlds
Module 5 – Reflective Practice in Sandtray therapy

Supervision – Ongoing supervision is integrated into the course for each module. Upon completion of the course you should have gained at 6 hours of supervision.

Duration

6 months (approx. 600 – 700hrs) plus you will need to complete 7 – 10 sessions of personal process with a Sandtray Therapy professional (at your own cost) and complete 60 client contact hours log book declaration.

Entry requirements

International Diploma of Sandtray Therapy entry requirements: a degree or equivelant in counselling, psychology, social sciences, social work, education or other relevant qualification such as art therapy, play or sandplay therapy or minimum 3 years experience in a relevant field or other relevant area in mental health to be able to successfully complete this course.

Assessment requirements

There are 5 assignments plus Log Book Hours included in this Diploma course:

Assignment 1 – Sandtray Therapy Brochure
Assignment 2 – Case Study Peter
Assignment 3 – Analysis of Sand World
Assignment 4 – Written – Blog Post
Assignment 5 – Reflective Journal

These assignments can be completed online and uploaded via your student portal.

Materials or equipment required

You will need a sand tray, sand and an array of sand tray miniatures.

Short Course in Sandtray Therapy (This is only available to those who already have some knowledge and experience of sand therapies).
10 weeks online learning, plus 4 day intensive classroom training.

The 4 day intensive training module if enrolled in a short course is NOT included in course fee and will be an additional $18,800 HKD.
