Entrants into the qualification are required to have successfully completed a bachelor’s degree in a cognizant or education field or previous vocational education at the Diploma level and have a minimum of 3 years relevant vocational experience.

Opengate Institute RTO 10757 is situated in the beautiful lower Blue Mountains in NSW. Our purpose designed training facilities are available to students for training and clinical work.
All the units of competency are online, the course is self-paced, and the content covers the theories applied to Sand therapy. All written assessments are all online.
We don’t have exams we have assessments. These are made up of written knowledge and face to face assessments in the form of Role Plays. The role plays are done during the face-to-face training workshops and all written assessments are online.
You receive a nationally accredited certificate as a 11242NAT Graduate Diploma of Sandtray Therapy.
We understand that adult learners can sometimes feel anxious about assessments, however there is no need to feel concerned as your trainer will walk you through all the assessments and guide you to completion.

Attending the 5-day intensive face to face workshop with Opengate Institute is made easy with accommodation available at Western Sydney University (Hawkesbury Campus) which is only a short stroll from our training centre.
A 4-bedroom Villa is available and can be booked per person at approximately $70.00 per night (depending on time of year and availability) and can also be booked as a whole Villa at approximately $250 per night and shared with other Opengate students. All bookings are made and paid through Opengate Institute to ensure that our students are accommodated together, and we will invoice each student individually.
The Villa offers comfortable affordable accommodation with a good-size fully functional kitchen with easy access to Richmond’s main shopping centre and the train station with a courtesy bus running 7 days a week.
