This online short course is ideal for covering topics working with children and young people using Sandtray Therapy.

The Symbol Work module offers an engaging exploration of symbolic meaning, giving you the insight and tools to interpret symbols with confidence and form robust clinical hypotheses in your therapeutic work to combine theory, sandtray therapy skills and techniques to apply into your school or program.

Module 3 – Applying theory to Sandtray therapy
Module 4 – Apply Symbol Work in Sandtray Therapy

Delivery mode

Online for weekly tutorials of 8weeks and face to face in the 3 day classroom training.

Duration

8 weeks of online tutorials plus 3 day Intensive training in classroom

8 weeks with weekly online tutorials 1 hour duration
Week nights – 6.30 – 7.30pm (NSW Time) or Day time during Lunch/After Hours

Includes weekly online tutorials, access to tutor one on one during weekdays for extra support and supervision, online learning management system, library resources, learning modules and assessment modules.

– Case Studies x 2
– Video of sandtray set up
– Analysis of Sand Worlds

Materials or equipment required

Bring a sand tray can be plastic or wood. Preferrably blue plastic.
Students will need to bring own symbols and sand tray miniatures to share with the group.

A statement of attainment is an official Australian document given to a student when they successfully complete one or more accredited units of study, but not a full qualification
